FIRMA made its debut in 2001 with a song that became the name of their first album: "La Orbire".
Shortly after having formed the band, Rocca and liX wrote the script and directed the video for "La Orbire", which was played on heavy-rotation on Atomic, MTV Romania, reaching first place on the national charts. This lead to a series of concerts in some of the better-known clubs in the country. The public's positive reaction to the song's airplay and to the band's live concerts compelled the 5 artists (Lama - lead guitar, liX- rhythm guitar, Rocca - vocals, Sorin Burcas - keyboards and Erhan - bass) to have a go at recording their first album.
FIRMA spent most of 2002 in the studio, creating an album that landed the band a three-year record deal with Intercont Music at the beginning of 2003. Soon after having signed the contract, FIRMA was joined in its endeavours by another major creative force in the Romanian showbiz, Andreea Paduraru, who directed two of their videos: "Nimeni" and "Important". The first video lead many to believe that they were watching a Western band as they seemed ill-fit for the low-quality Romanian music scene at the time, while the latter video - "Important" - was promoted by a nationwide tour.
FIRMA was one of the nominees at the 2004 MTV European Music Awards under the Best Romanian Act category, while in 2005 the band also earned a nomination at the MTV RMA as Best Rock Act.
"Te Paste", the last video from their debut album was directed by Rocca and Bogdan Popoiag and aired in 2005. After taking some time off, the band went into the studio at the beginning of 2006 in order to record the follow-up to "La Orbire".
FIRMA changed their record label in 2007 as they moved to MediaPro Music, which took on the challenge of bringing the band's music to a broader audience. The band are currently preparing a tour and intend to release at least two videos from their latest effort: "Exit".
The first "Exit" single (Baby is Crying) has a brand new video directed by Daniel Rocca & Bogdan Popoiag.
